Week one : Sun Salutations: Here you will learn how to practise with comfort and care for your body. Breaking it down in pieces and exploring variations will ensure a grounded integration of the sequence. Week two : A review of the basic standing postures, looking at alignment principles and applying them to suit your body. Week three: A look at back bends as an exploration of chest expansion. You will learn how to find your comfort in a variety of back bends. Week four: Inversions, why and how to move in and out of them and remain in comfort for a long life of healthy practise.

YOGA 101 ~ introductory sessions ~ Moving slowly, giving you the opportunity to integrate and learn the basics. Talking about the postures and taking time to answer specific questions about alignment will ensure that you honour your body. Having the chance to hear what other students are experiencing allows for a clear and healthy beginning of the practice. Excellent sessions for absolute and advanced beginners.

Family Yoga and Yoga for teens is taught by Catherine Lesage
Catherine discovered yoga while hiking in the Canadian Rockies in 1999 and then embarked on a path leading her to a deeper understanding and appreciation of yoga and yoga for children. She is fascinated by human movement and she believes that providing children with the opportunity to explore their world through play and movement will help them become more physically, intellectually and emotionally intelligent. The body is a wonderful machine as well as a great tool to understand yourself and the world around you. Once she discovered yoga, she realized that it brought another dimension to human movement and her teaching of physical education: teaching the body, the mind, and the soul. |

Satsang ( Early Morning Gathering) We are happy to invite you to our monthly Satsang. Satsang translates to "higher or good company" its an opportunity to come together for spiritual and uplifting conversation as well as meditation. Every month satsang will be led by a different teacher. It will include a Spiritual reading meditation and group discussion. This is open to all and no experience is needed just a willingness to be still. We are asking for a $5.00 donation. Our intention is to provide weekly yoga classes for a locale support centre. We are currently working on one and will keep you updated with the details. For this we will need yoga mats, hand outs and support material. Time: 6:15AM-7:15AM
